Doctrinal Summation

Baptism
We believe that baptism is immersion in water as taught in the New Testament practiced by Christ and the Apostles. Although one is not saved by baptism, nevertheless, obedience to compliance is essential to obeying the commands of Jesus in Matthew 28:19-20.

Suitable Candidates for Baptism
We believe that the only suitable persons to receive this ordinance are those who have exercised a personal saving confession of faith in Christ, and are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Consequently, infants ought not to be, and cannot be scriptural baptized, since they can neither exercise, nor profess that faith in Christ.

Subjects for Church Membership
We believe that such persons only as are truly regenerated, and have been scripturally baptized on a profession of faith in Christ, can properly become members of a Christian church.

Subjects for Communion
We believe that the Lord’s Supper is to be partaken of my members of the church alone, being such persons as are regenerated and baptized on a profession of their faith in Christ, and are walking in the faith and fellowship of the gospel.

Church Government
We believe that each separate and individual church is entirely independent of all other churches, persons, and bodies of men, either civil or ecclesiastical, and is to be governed by its own members alone, without aid or interference of any other person or persons whatever.

Scriptural Offices of a Church
We believe there are but two scriptural officers, namely the pastor, called in the New Testament, Bishop, Overseer, Prebyster or Pastor along with the Deacons/Deaconess.

Deity of Christ
We believe in the view which supports that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and is therefore fully God and fully man in one person (i.e., a union of divine and human nature valled the hypo-static union).

Sovereignty of God
We hold that the Bible is the supreme and sufficient voice of the Sovereign God, who exclusive and absolute rule in all matters. We do not take as obligatory the belief or practice of any person, family or church, or nation, except as sustained by the Word of the Sovereign God.

Virgin Birth
We believe that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, Who in His incarnation, was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. Jesus did the will of God by taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities. In doing so, He identified Himself completely with mankind, yet without sin.

Tri-unity of God
We believe that the scriptures teach that in the unity of the Godhead there are three persons, God the Father, Jesus the Saviour and the Holy Spirit the Preserver, and yet there is One God.

Salvation by Grace through Faith
We believe that the salvation of sinners is wholly of grace through the mediatorial office of the the Son of God. By His death, Christ redeemed the whole man, and salvation is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. By His own blood Christ obtained eternal redemption for who believe in Him.

Security of the Believer
We believe that all truly born-again believers endure to the end. Those whom God has accepted in Christ and sanctified by His Spirit will never fall away from the state of grace nor can they lose God’s gift or eternal life. They shall persevere to the end.

Second Coming
We believe that God, in his own time and in His own way, will bring the world to its appropriate conclusion. According to His Word, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth. The dead will be raised and Christ will judge all men in righteousness according to God’s will.
