Min. Ruby Love

Ruby Love resides in Deptford, New Jersey. She is and has been dedicated to the improvement and empowerment of others for a lifetime. She is and has been civic, political, and community minded, as she hails from a family of service directed individuals. Ruby has made contributions both intellectually and finally to those who are less fortunate than herself, both inside and outside of her community.

Among her many accomplishments Ruby is a licensed Minister of the Gospel, who is, currently, on staff at the First Baptist Church of Jericho, in Deptford, New Jersey. Ruby has, formerly, served as the first female Fire Commissioner for the Township of Deptford, County of Gloucester. She is currently an active Registered Nurse, who is Board Certified as a Nurse Executive. She is licensed to practice nursing in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa, as well as a Post-Masters in Nursing Administration from Villanova University. She is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator, in the state of Pennsylvania, who is capable of practice in any state in the entire USA. Ruby is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at Rowan College at Gloucester County, Gateway Community Action Partnership of Bridgeton New Jersey, The Deptford Township Municipal Utilities Authority, and The Odd Fellows Cemetery, Deptford, New Jersey. She is the Committeewoman for the 9th District of Deptford, New Jersey. Ruby has served as the first President of the Parents Guild for the Gloucester County Children’s Choir under the direction of Mr. Donald W.T. Cary and Mrs. Sylvia Richardson. She has proudly served with Senator Cory Booker on the 2012 Platform Committee for President Barack Obama. Ruby has been tapped to become the next Associate Chief Nurse for Geriatrics and Extended Care of the U. S. Department of Veterans Affairs/Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Ruby has previously been honored as one of 10 of “God’s Leading Ladies” in May of 2016 by the Macedonia Baptist Church of Westville, New Jersey. She, thusly, received a proclamation from the City of Camden/ Mayor Dana Redd and a Resolution from the New Jersey State Senate and Legislation acknowledging her selfless and esteemed service to her fellow man.

Ruby is the wife of one husband, Mr. Homer D. Love, Jr. She is the mother of one son, Gregory A. Love, who is musician, producer, and educator; the stepmother to Charmaine Swanson who is an accountant for the Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia and Jill Mossop, Physical Therapist of Oklahoma.
